Short description of error
Using a simple set up of point density -> emission (or principled volume with color, emission, or density, doesn't matter) ->material (volume), the Point Density seems to have no effect on either the viewport display or rendering in EEVEE. Changing any of the settings does nothing. I suspect the problem lies with the Point Density node because it doesn't work with either an Emission -> Volume or Principled Volume -> Volume. And other Texture nodes do work such as noise, wave, etc.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Default Scene. Either set up a basic particle system or use an object (I used an icosphere with a subdivision) and put a larger box around it. On the larger box open up the Shader Node Editor and set up a Point Density node and set the object to the emitter or icosphere (and particle system if you use that setting). Hook that up to an Emitter or Principled Volume, then connect that to the Volume node on the Material output. The box does not react to the object or emitter at all.
