System Information

Graphics card: Titan X (Pascal)

Broken: v 2.81 Beta Date 2019-11-12 13:28 Hash 125257758007
2.8 release has the same issue

Short description of error
After wake from sleep the viewport shading is wrong, looks like a bad filter has been applied. The black bars is typical for this problem, they always appear in some form or another.

Here is what you should see, which I had to restart Blender to reset the view. The window configuration has changed somewhat but isn't relevant, you can see the normal looking 3D edit window.

Here is the system info

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
The particular blender file doesn't matter, to reproduce simply put the computer to sleep with Blender running, then wake up.

Audio and video problems after wake from sleep/suspend seem common on Linux. Likely something is not being reset properly on the OS/driver side.

@Stephen Swaney (stiv) Could be, is it possible however to add some kind of reset capability, either automatically or user trigger? Perhaps just a python command and I could test it out.

One thing, I noticed that the problem appears to only occur on the tab you are on, switching to another view (e.g. Texture Paint) and it looks fine. This might indicate it's not a systemic issue, but just that the visible viewport needs some kind of refresh. Maybe supporting this is that it's only the Viewport Shading Material Preview mode, solid mode looks fine.
