Short description of error
Element Overlays are drawn without occlusion as if in xray mode (when in solid mode), making it very hard to read

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Turn on a bunch of element overlays such as indices, edge lengths, angles etc.

Hi, thanks for the report.

I understand this is not ideal in every circumstance but many times you want to see the overlays even if they would be occluded and so this implementation has been chosen for speed and simplicity. It is not designed to be useful with everything selected on a dense mesh, but still useful if you want to check length of single or several individual elements.

If anyone is interested in improving this I'm sure changes would be considered by the devs, but for now this is how it is designed.

Ah ok. For future design considerations : " times you want to see the overlays even if they would be occluded " -> use xray mode and then see them un-occluded.
