Remesher: Voxel Size and Smooth Normals Toggle keep changing

Short description of error
The Voxel size always resizes to .1 when changing mesh or going out and back of sculpt mode.
The Smooth Normals toggle turns off when I click on another mesh. It turns back on when I click on a mesh that I remeshed while the Smooth Normals Toggle was on.
Weird behaviour and probably related to the way the mesh was remeshed.

The voxel remesher settings are stored per mesh and the popover and properties panel displays the settings stored on the mesh of the current active object. This way you can sculpt on a model with multiple objects at different resolutions without remembering the voxel size of each object when you change between them.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to be able to input the settings you’re often using as a “standard”? There are Remesh options outside of Sculpt Mode. Perhaps those could be changed in a way that stuck to the Sculpt Mode? And then you could change only those who deviate from your preferred main settings?

I don't understand the use case for that. There are not standard voxel size settings because it always depends on the size of the objects and the resolution you want to get from it. You can always change the remesh properties of multiple objects at the same time by selecting all of them, pressing Alt and modifying the property in the properties panel.

I'm working on a project in which I'm constantly adding objects and it always need a size of .05 and smooth turned on. I have to keep changing those settings each time I add one... If I could set the settings the way I needed to my workflow would be way easier... I don't see the need for it to turn back all the time if it's not a size the user chose in the first place.

Those are just some defaults like any other datablock property defaults, it is impossible to define a set of defaults that fits the needs of all projects and workflows. Blender currently does not have a default properties editor. If you want to change them to suit the needs of your project, they are in DNA_mesh_defaults.h

But why not let the user decide on a fixed value then? Why does it have to change back to the default?
