System Information
Operating system: Windows-7-6.1.7601-SP1 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series ATI Technologies Inc. 4.2.12337 Core Profile Context 13.101.8.0

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.81 (sub 16), branch: master, commit date: 2019-12-04 11:32, hash: f1aa4d18d4
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
I got a problem when trying to connect nodes.
The curvy lines, which normally connects both nodes doesn't appear or appear in wrong places as strange straights.
On the attached picture my mouse rests on the image dot of the composite node, while the straight line is out of place.
Occured even after restart/reinstall.
When I try to connect them by selecting them and press the F key, the same issue appears
(do to the changes in the nodes themselves I realize he connects them when the shortcut is used, but i don't actually see this bond)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I don't know how to recreate it on other systems (only got the above at hand to check it),
i just went to the compositing tab, hit the checkbox "use nodes"
and try to connect nodes I added per drag and drop
(doesn't matter if i use the normal scene or a scene I loaded)

Straight vs Curved noodles is set in User Prefs.

Cannot reproduce on Linux.
From the description, this sounds like a drawing problem.

If you mean the noodle curving option under themes in user prefs, i already found that. Thank you.

Possible, but wouldn't that mean, this is actualy caused by my graphics card driver (?)

Thanks, gave me the right direction to think.

Down- and upgrading the driver package alone doesn't helped to resolve the issue.
Resolved by deinstall the whole driver package of AMD Graphics via DDU.
Downloaded latest driver package from AMD support website again.
Now it is working. It really seemed to be connected to a driver error.

Thanks again for pointing it out. Sorry to have bothered you.

Glad it is working. Blender on!
