Short description of error
when I activated rigify, I noticed that in add>armature menu there is no rigs, only single bone option.and when I create new default file, I can see that menu and items.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I was making sculpture in blender 2.80 ( beta or alpha, I don't remember, it was around summer version) and when there was 2.81 alpha, I switched to it and now I noticed that in my 2.8 build, 2.81 alpha and newest build all don't show this menu in my project (I have 3 blenders on my pc).

oh and here are screenshots. one from default project and second from mine.
quick update, I checked legacy mode in Addon settings and human and pitchiboy metarigs showed up in the menu.

Please try to disable Load UI when opening the old projects through File > Open as shown here and it should work properly.
