System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 980 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 441.41

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.81 (sub 16), branch: master, commit date: 2019-11-20 14:27, hash: 26bd5ebd42
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
I created a new window with "Window" -> "New Window". Then I switched to a different workspace tab on the main window, which made the top bar with all its workspace tabs dissappear. after resizing the window the top bar is visible can be used again. After closing the new window, Blender behaves normally again.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Started Blender with new file
  • Open new window
  • Move new window to display with 125% scaling
  • Switch to next workspace
  • Switch to next workspace again

workspaces tab in main window dissapear

I Tested it again and it seems that this only happens if the new window is placed on my second monitor, which uses a 125% Display scaling. If i set the scaling to 100% and try it again, the bug is not present anymore.

Could indeed be related to display scaling, because I cannot reproduce it currently. Can you make a short screen recording that shows the issue?

Although I can't recreate this easily with my current setup, I'd consider such issues as quite likely. It's definitely more than just a visual glitch, so will consider this a bug.

I recorded this with the windows game bar, which is why you cant see the other window. But you can see how the UI changes after i created it and changed the workspace of my primary window.

If you look at the task i've created and was closed there is a video I've made in which u can see both screens

Also my ui is not scaled

I confirm this is not Windows problem only, it occurs on my Mac as well: MacOS 10.15.4 (19E287), my Blender version: v 2.83. However unlike this issue here I have only problem with the refreshing of the scaling, the header menu don't disappear.
I have a setup of native macbook high DPI display with a low DPI external monitor.
