Short description of error
Point Density texture works wrong
Instead of these reports , I found, that it works correctly in 2.80, but not 2.81a or 2.82 builds. And it also crashes, but only in 2.83

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open file, switch to rendered mode:

  • Change resolution or radius value of point density texture.

There is 3 different results, depends on resolution or radius value:

Working ~40% times:

Not working ~60% times:

Mesh up, less than 1% times:

@Michael Soluyanov (crantisz) on my machine your file crashes in 2.81a and higher.
I can also confirm occasional visual discrepancy.

It may be actually caused by T67718: Point density texture crashes.
If I cause bug, save file, reopen, bug is not present anymore.
