I needed libavformat/codec libs for Win32 for a project I'm working on, so I grabbed the ones from the bf-blender CVS. They apparently have a bug that causes them to crash when encoding DV format video. This has appeared on the web other places as well. At any rate, I know it's not practical to keep the libs dir 100% up to date. But I found this place:

It looks like some guys in China keep their copies fairly up-to-date. The above version is from August 2007, and the bug is fixed in this version. Just thought you might want to know. Attached is a copy of the libs.
