System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 5000 Intel 4.3.0 - Build 20.19.15.4568

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.83 (sub 2), branch: master, commit date: 2020-02-01 16:56, hash: f051d47cdb
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
I am not able to get render smoke correctly using Eevee or Cycles. The simulation does appear to display correctly in the viewport.

Repro steps

  1. Create cube and set as fluid domain
  2. Create smoke and set as fluid inflow
  3. Changed a bunch of other settings while testing in the viewport

This is not a bug. You must assign a volumetric shader to your domain object. Please check the official documentation for an example workflow .
You can also ask your questions in one of these community websites: https://www.blender.org/community/

Seems like latest documentation is not updated yet, you can access the same content here: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/2.81/physics/smoke/introduction.html#workflow
Please follow the workflow steps and let me know if it still doesn't work for you.
