System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19035 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GT 730/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 436.50

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.81 (sub 16), branch: master, commit date: 2019-12-04 11:32, hash: blender/blender@f1aa4d18d4
Worked: (optional)

Addon Information
Name: Material Library (0, 5, 9)
Author: Mackraken (mackraken2023@hotmail.com)

Short description of error
[Please fill out a short description of the error here]
After applying 3 materials from this library, I start getting errors and can no longer use any materials, including previously used ones, until I remove and re-add the add-on.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Please describe the exact steps needed to reproduce the issue]
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

  • Load Blender, fresh from .zip extraction (I used the portable version because that seemed to be the only one downloading today).
  • Add the Material Library VX add-on
  • Begin adding various materials to the default cube object.

After three, you should start getting a Traceback error that will occur for any material, including the ones you started with.

At first I thought it might be because I launch Blender off on my Google Drive, but after doing the .zip extraction to my local drive I was still having the problem.

Cannot really reproduce here (not exactly sure if I am doing it right/wrong though...)

What I did was:

  • add 4 new material slots to the default cube

  • add 4 new materials

  • in the Material Library VX panel, chose Cycles Materials

  • for the above new materials each, chose one of the Cycles Materials [e.g. Car Paint, Apple Juice, ...] and hit apply To Selected

    • not getting errors...

  • Does the above fail for you?

  • If your reproduction steps are different: please explain exactly how you "add various materials to the default cube object"

Hi. Sorry! My mistake. When Philipp commented, I received an email and attempted to reply to the email without thinking about this page. So when the email came back as undeliverable I simply gave up because I didn't think I'd be able to get ahold of anyone. Now that I received the task closed notice I see now where I went wrong.

So, I went in and tested it out and I was able to apply every texture, and several of them multiple times without any problems. So yes, I believe the issue is gone now. At least as of 2.82 anyways.

Thank you.
