System Information
OS: Windows 10 Pro
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700
PSU: Corsair RM750x (750W)
RAM: 2x8GB
2 monitors
1 SSD and 1 HDD

Description
I get a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION bluescreen when I render with the GPU using OpenCL in Cycles. When I start rendering, a few tiles load in, then my pc freezes, which leads to the DPC error. Sometimes it might unfreeze and continue rendering but will eventually lead to the error. I have tried the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION solutions I've found from the web, but none have worked. Earlier I had troubles with successfully updating my GPU drivers, but solved those by using Display Driver Uninstaller and I am currently running the latest recommended AMD graphics drivers. I am using Blender 2.81.

  1. Select GPU as the Cycles render device for OpenCL in Preferences
  2. Set Render Engine to Cycles and Feature Set to Supported
  3. Set device as GPU Compute
  4. Set 550 Samples for Render
  5. Enable Motion Blur
  6. Set Tile Size to 256x256
  7. Try rendering

Here is the blend file: Porsche 911 Mirrored1.blend

Not much we can do on our side, this is a fairly common system error in Windows it seems, which can have many different causes (as shown by basic primal google search... https://www.google.com/search?q=DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION ). Most likely related to your GPU drivers one way or the other, in that specific case?
