In editing mode, when "in Front" is on, Annotations are not drawn on the surface.
You will see like in the video below the lines are not the surface.

This is not an addon problem. This is a Blender problem. In editing mode, when "in Front" is on, Annotations are not drawn on the surface. In this mode Annotation are snapped to the origin, although surface painting is selected.

Unable to reproduce anymore in latest master but detected an assert. I fixed the assert by

This bug is kind of a bouncing ball, now drawing annotation on the surface is working in edit mode, but if you activate bsurface the mesh is bouncing away from the initial place. @Jeroen-Bakker Please give me few days to play with this i will come back to you. @cwolf3d can try it with the latest master and put bsurface on.
