System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.17763-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 2080/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 442.19
Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.82 (sub 6), branch: unknown, commit date: 1970-01-01 00:00, hash:
rBunknown
Worked: (optional)
Short description of error
I have tested this on a clean installation and user folder of Blender 2.8, 2.81, 2.82 versions. Latest Nvidia drivers causes this problem. If I revert to December 6th drivers the problem doesn't exist.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I simply open a new project, create a camera, go into that camera, mark a region then try to zoom out. The render stops and if I try to to stop cycles it hangs for a while. Sometimes it ends and it sometimes hangs forever.

I can't reproduce the bug, either in CPU or GPU.
Maybe it's a problem with NVidia?
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18941 64 Bits
Graphics card: Radeon (TM) RX 480 Graphics ATI Technologies Inc. 4.5.13559 Core Profile Context 26.20.12028.2
CPU for me works fine. Is just when I switch to GPU. It could be a Nvidia only issue but I thought there was direct communication between Blender and Nvidia so the problem could be sorted out quicker than me alone trying to get in touch with them and doing anything about it. Not entirely sure how to proceed with this issue. It would be great to get other people to try it out and see if this is just me or something that is affecting other users. I guess you need to have the same card as mine and have latest driver installed.
We still don't know if the problem is with an NVidia driver or if it's in blender. Let's wait and see what the Cycles team will say.
Sure thing. Thanks.

was there any new driver update that fixed it ?
Thank you for asking as I was avoiding doing any zoom In/Out all along and now with the latest drivers it has been fixed. I am currently using 445.75. Thanks again.
