Broken: quick smoke
Worked: (2.8, 2.8al)
just add the quick smoke to the default cube hit run and nothing happens, no smoke. I know my Intel card shows it because in ver 2.8 this works, now in 2.82 it no longer works.

Your .blend seems OK. Did you bake the smoke?
no bake, never had to, I just add quick smoke I get smoke, then I go to shading add node for flame (like in youtube videos) after I get everything set then I bake and render.
let me fire up 2.82 and set it up quicksmoke and do a bake and see what happens, brb.
Okay, setting up nodes in shader, when I added emissions node smoke showed up, as soon as I connected the colorramp node , and math node to emissions node it disappeared again. showing nothing. with No bake preformed. remove the node from the emissions node and I get smoke only.

Well, are you aware of the fact that the whole Smoke and Fluid systems have been completely changed from Blender 2.81 and 2.82? Now Blender uses Mantaflow which is a whole new system, and unlike before (you could just hit play and the smoke worked in real time), now you have to hit "Bake" in the simulation settings
well that really sucks .. it is like shooting in the dark and hoping you hit your target. how is one suppose to know what the desired effects are before he puts himself in to a long wait state od having to bake first then look, to only see that is not what I wanted, redo some setting, bake again look, nope not yet, and keep repeating. It is like putting the horse before the cart. Thanks for the heads ups .. me thinks I'll stick with 2.81a
Well, that's how the new system works, and I don't think it will be changed anytime soon. But a co thing you can do while baking your simulation is stopping and then resuming it, without even considering that it's much faster than the old system.
it was like yes real time I can see what it will look like before taking that long (most times) time to bake. now it's add some tweak, bake go eat something, come back to see what the little bit did, nope that is not what I wanted, delete bake, tweak it a bit more, bake go eat something, come back look, nope, delete bake, tweak it again, bake go eat something, come back look nope not yet. I am going to get really fat with this new system.

yeah, it is a design flaw, sorry, I do see it has a pick up were I left off if I add more time to the the end point.
