Confirmed, NormalPublicBUG

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 64 Bits
Graphics card: GTX 1080 TI.

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.83.8 hash: 7c027f9480a9
Worked: version: 2.83.4 hash: rBabb736491295 (commit date: 2020-02-23 23:00)

Short description of error
There are some weird black outlines popping out during anim playback or scrubbing.

*P

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • open the file
  • If it is not already set, set viewport shading to material preview (that's where you can easily spot them)
  • playback the animation or quickly move the object

The black outlines will appear but the moment you stop they'll disappear, so you can screen capture the moment to check their existence *P.

Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) changed the task status from Needs Triage to Needs Information from User.Wed, Mar 11, 1:09 PM

I can see something, but nothing as evident as the one shown in the image.
Can you try decreasing the Viewport Samples to 1 and disabling Viewport Denoising?
Viewport Denoising is known to have some limitations like that.

Viewport Denoising is known to have some limitations like that.

It reduced it significantly, this issue is in 2.83(master) only though, in previous versions no problem even with Viewport Denoising enabled.

Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Bug".

I can confirm.
The problem was not seen in rBabb736491295 (commit date: 2020-02-23 23:00)
So it is a recent regression.

The problem is easier to observe if you move the object quickly.

@Clément Foucault (fclem), any idea what might have introduced this?
