Geometry disappearing in sculpt mode after some use.

Short description of error
After using sculpt mode, leaving it and applying a transformation or modifier make some vertices disappear when you go back to sculpt mode.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
The way I'm getting this error is sculpting with dytopo, going to edit mode and applying a modifier like Boolean or applying the scale. The problem is that its not happening consistently, but it already happened for me in 3 different models, and the vertices don't seem to come back even if I use alt-H .

note 1: if you go to Edit mode, the vertices are also gone there, but in this mode, alt-H works fine.

note 2: applying a new modifier to it and applying doesn't seem to fix the problem, for exemple, after using decimate there are still vertices that are disappearing

note 3: sometimes, the vertices don't appear in regular sculpt mode, but once you activate dytopo, the vertices come back, although they disappear again if you dis-activate dytopo.
