UDIM tiles not recognized when reloading images #75116

Short description of error
When you go back to tiles, it doesn't tile the textures anymore. Also UDIMs don't update properly when reloading images.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I included a file for you to try it on. Start with an empty scene. Import the cubeUDIM.fbx. Create a shader, assign tile.1001.png to the base color. All sides of the cube will hade a different texture except for tile 1004 because there's no such texture. Now, rename tile.1014.png to tile.1004.png. Now they are all there. Reload the images. Nothing. It won't update even if all the textures are there.

You can also try to switch from tiled to single image and back to tiled, you won't get your tiles back as they should. In Cycles, all faces will have UDIM 1001. In Eevee, pink cube.UDIM.zip

You can also try to switch from tiled to single image and back to tiled, you won't get your tiles back as they should

This has been reported before, see #74777 (UDIM issue when switch from Tiled to Single and back to Tiled)

The Image Open has the Detect UDIMs option [which works well generally -- even though opening the same image again will also not detect new tiles from disk correctly]
Reload Image doesnt support this really.

Strictly speaking not a bug, but really should be handled because it is important workflow-wise.

The issue causing Reload to not work correctly has now been fixed by the checkin noted above. The above steps now do what you would expect -- Once the file is renamed to 1004, you can click reload, and everything is refreshed properly.
