Hello guys, I'd downloaded Blender 2.82a today (March 28/2020) and the app doesn't open. I'm using in my Hackintosh. I have 2 SSDs, one with Windows 10 and other SSD with OSX 10.13.6. With Windows 10, the Blender 2.82a works fine! But in my OSX 10.13.6 opens a windows informing the info crash/bug. In my office, I use an iMac (Apple) with OSX 10.14 and the Blender 2.82a works fine too. But here, in my home, in my OSX 10.13.6, doesn't opens. Thanks guys!

But that is not the solution to the problem. Because Blender version 2.81a opens normally, without any problem and in Windows it opens normally with the 2 cards enabled. And how do I "disable" one of the cards in OSX?

Thanks

@jfcalcena with your setup there are so many reasons why Blender crashes

  1. Your are using an hackintosh
  2. Your hackintosh system is not up to date (I've here also an AMD hackintosh with the latest system 10.15.4 and Blender works fine) Note: If you update to Mojave or Catalina you will lose your CUDA option in Blender (https://developer.blender.org/T75211)
  3. Are the CUDA web drivers updated?
  4. Try to test that also with the latest 2.83alpha (https://builder.blender.org/download/)
  5. Some people have a problem by using 2 or more GPUs (https://developer.blender.org/T74883), you could try by unplugging the second GPU 🤔

Yes, I can't make an update in my Hack, because I'll loose my CUDA system support. All my drivers it's updated. I'll try with 2.83 Alpha later. Thanks!

The backtrace shows that the problem is in GPU_context_create.
So the problem is something in the GPU driver and outside Blender.
We could try to find some workaround for this problem, but for that it would be necessary for a developer to be able to reproduce it.

@jfcalcena Does the latest version of 2.90 or 2.81.1 works?

If you feel like helping us you could try building blender from source on your hackintosh and try to bisect between the 2.81 and 2.82 release.
