I seem to get strange artefacts in the GUI, they seem to randomly appear and just disappear when i click a GUI button or refresh a view port.
See attached file.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Not sure of any steps as it seems random but i have attached the user prefs and startup file i use.userpref.blend

Could be an out of date graphics card driver. Are you running the latest graphics card drivers? To upgrade to the latest driver, see here for more information: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/troubleshooting/gpu/index.html
I am using the latest drivers for both my intel card and nvidia card.
Also to add, i mentioned this on the /blender subreddit and a few other people mentioned that they have had similar issues.

does any other app does it ?
Is there any external device attached , like screen, HDMI cable etc.
Also run blender_debug_log.cmd and upload the two files here and make sure that session has such a glitch present. it might take a few trials, since you say it's random.

Hi!
It is happening the same to me now. I updated the graphic card drivers yesterday and then it started to happen. I have the same graphic card as you, GeForce GTX 1060. The glitch desappears when scrolling and changing the viewport, but i don't know how to fix it
Perhaps it's to do with the new graphics drivers then? It doesn't happen in any other software that I have seen.
I have no external devices connected. I will try the blender debug shortly.
Yeah, I think it is because of the update. it never happened before and it only happens in Blender. I'll try to uninstall and install them again

Which driver version are you using?
I'm using 445.75.
Yeah, i'm using 445.75 as well
Ok it does appear to be a driver issue, please see https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/350427/nvidia-44575-is-broken/

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. i almost hit the screen
Apparently downgrading to version 442.74 of the nvidia driver is the answer. I am trying this now.
sorry i'm new in this world of graphics...how can I downgrade to the previous version? thank you
Goto https://www.nvidia.co.uk/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/442.74/442.74-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql.exe&lang=uk&type=geforcem and download the driver.
Run it
Select custom install when prompted
Select perform a clean install
Follow to end
Hi! it says "notebook", does it work also for a laptop computer?
Go here and select the correct driver
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx
or use

Seems to be a driver bug, for which no update has been released so far.
has anyone tried 445.87 ? https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/159423/en-us
