Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Load the custom keymap Blender Key Configuration.py

Best,
Orso
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

Hi, can you explain to me why it is like that? I'd prefer to have the ability to change those parameters even after changing the default shortcuts. Most are not related to the shortcuts I changed.
The few changes I made are to avoid using a combination of keys to do basic viewport movements: right click opens the context menu but rmb drag rotates the view; pan with mmb drag and scroll to dolly. I then used the same scheme for other modes. That's it, I should retain the ability, for example, to toggle "Extra Shading Pie menu Items" etcetera.

I can not really explain in great detail, but technically these settings don't really need to be unavailable if you make any change, but it is not safe to assume they will work as expected afterwards.

If you change keymap, it is possible that you overwrite a map generated by function based on settings with hard-coded key, so change in setting will not apply anymore.
