Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.90 (sub 0), branch: master, commit date: 2020-04-20 18:51, hash: 55a2682348
Worked: 2.82a (stock version as packaged for Fedora 31)

Short description of error
When rendering a shiny object, there are annoying visual artifacts when rendering with GPU but not when rendering with CPU.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
shiny_torus.blend
Load the attached blender file which contains a single torus mesh using Principled BSDF shader with Base Color=0xE7DBA0, Metallic=0.618, Roughness=0.286, all other settings default. Render with cycles using CPU only to get expected result. Render with GPU or GPU+CPU to get corrupted result. Note that I am using CUDA 10.2 although I realize that only 10.1 is officially supported.

Switching to CUDA 10.1 will solve this. As the docs state 10.1 is currently the supported version.
