Short description of error
After use of the pipette in the Image Texture Editor, the 'F9' dialog box is not dismissed until an UNDO operation is performed.

Event Timeline

To expand on this, if you interact with the "Last Operator Box" for the sample tool at any time, everything that occurred after using the sample tool will be reverted. For example, if you sample a color then make 15 strokes on the object then interact with the "Last Operator Box" for the sample tool, those 15 strokes will be reverted.

This occurs in Blender 2.82a, 2.83 ce76e17584ee (2020-05-08 14:49) and 2.90 6f985574b775 (2020-05-08).

I think the main issue is that paint brush stroke operations are not causing this panel to disappear.
