System Information
Operating system: fedora 31
Graphics card: nvidia

Blender Version
Broken: 2.81a
Worked: never

Short description of error
I selected multiple images on timeline, and I try to change a property, it only changes one image's property.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • go to a VSE.
  • add a strip as image/sequence
  • separate images.
  • select all or part of images.

change a property(opacity, source,...)

Expected result : all selected images changed.
Actual result : only one image which selected with a white line changes.

P.S
I found a solution for change opacity, with alt+enter, but it doesn't work for change source directory.
It will be good if this alt+enter feature work on every property.

This isn't a bug, holding Alt changes some values, but isn't supported for file paths.

How is that not a bug if this is alt+enter is supposed to work for properties but it doesn't here? 😢
When you relocate your images and you want to change the source directory for hundreds of files at once without invalidating your editing work so far (so you can't just re-add the images), the only way is to edit each image source folder, one at a time, hundreds of times.

I am not even speaking of the filename part, but really the source directory (really just relocating a whole bunch of different images at once). Or maybe there is another way to do this easily and we just failed to find it?

If not, and really this is not to be considered a bug, where can we make feature/improvement requests now? I used to do them on your bugtracker back years ago (as well as providing patches) so it is me who told Aryeom to report this here. I can find information about bug reports and indeed some text about what is "not considered bugs". But I don't find anywhere for improvements apart from community forums.

I think a good way to do this is just File > External Data > Find Missing Files and brows to the relocated folder?

Indeed requests are not handled on developer.blender.org, for this, use other channels https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Communication/Contact#User_Feedback_and_Requests
