System Information
Operating system: OSX and Windows 10
Graphics card: Intel and Nvidia

Blender Version
Broken: 2.8.2a, 2.8.3b

Short description of error
When drawing with Grease Pencil using the "Stroke Placement" options menu set to "Surface" will use the 3D camera as a Mesh Surface and stick the Grease Pencil Line to the cameras area including its little triangle hat.

Intent was to draw inside of UV Sphere with position 0,0,0. The workflow needs to have a way to move the view quickly back into the center of the sphere, the only seamless way to do this is have a camera in the center and press the 0 hotkey and use "fly mode" once there. When I Draw a bit out of the passepartout area the line will stick to the origin of the camera.

Also when navigating out of the center view its easy to forget the camera does this so I have to constantly hide the camera to avoid this.

Attached is an image.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Create a large sphere and a cube. Move the 3D camera far away in 3D space and adjust your 3d view to not show much depth. Create a blank Grease Pencil object and enter draw mode. Change the "Stroke Placement" options menu to "Surface". Increase your stroke size to something visible. Scribble some lines onto each object including the camera. Orbit your 3D view to notice how the stroke line uses the 3D camera as an object.

It looks a lot like #74389 except that it is with the camera object.

Yes, it's the same of #74389. The problem is the stroke placement is done using the OpenGL buffer and the camera icon is detcted as "something" on screen. To solve the issue you must disable overlays to hide these icons.

I'm going to merge this task with the other one.
