Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Add armature
  • Go to edit mode
  • Try to select bones like a crazy monkey tester.

Asserts at armature_select.c

Event Timeline

I was experiencing this bug on Ubuntu 20.04 in my own daily build yesterday. I think this is higher than normal priority, since you can't even work like this.

I cannot reproduce the problem.
Has this been fixed already?

I had the same problem, it is now fixed (https://developer.blender.org/T77701) and doesn't crash anymore.
