Broken: (2.90 Alpha, c7b03fe9c0, master, 2020-06-16, as found on the splash screen)

Short description of error
Blender crashes when I switch to wireframe in viewport shading.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I cannot reproduce in either 2.83 or 2.90.0 c7b03fe9c0.

Cannot redo on macOS Mojave, intel HD 6000 either. 7dae6eb5a2
After the crash, reopen Blender & upload the crash report, after saving it in TextEditor preferably.

I have moved the mesh into a new .blend file. I noticed that anytime blender crashes I am no longer able to change viewport shading without crashing - from Wireframe to Solid or if I crashed in Solid I cannot change to Wireframe. Material Preview and Rendered work as normal. The only way I can fix this is by creating a new .blend file and moving all of my meshes to the new file.

I got this bug on the latest beta build, I know its marked as resolved but it just happened again, if I can reproduce it I will, but it seems to happen at random for now.
