When wiping the whole UI, the "Metadata" panel remains.

  • Load it.
  • The UI is empty but the "Metadata" panel remains when it should have been unregistered.

Event Timeline

This is probably because metadata panel is implemented in C, and can not be unregistered. So technically this works as expected.

@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) what do you think, should we make this more consistent with other panels somehow?

I guess I could confirm this as low prio known issue, so it will probably take quite some time to resolve.

@Richard Antalik (ISS) To me it seems like known limitation of the current design. But this isn't really area of my expertise, so input from @Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) or @Julian Eisel (Severin) is welcome :)

Richard Antalik (ISS) changed the task status from Needs Triage to Confirmed.Jul 8 2020, 12:53 AM
Richard Antalik (ISS) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Known Issue".

Some update:
I'm facing exactly the same issue with the "Transform" panel in the 3D view.
