System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 8 Graphics ATI Technologies Inc. 4.5.13558 Core Profile Context 26.20.11008.4009

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.90.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2020-07-03 23:03, hash: cad98923d0
Worked: I didn't find one

Short description of error
(couldn't squeeze it in the title)
The Transform panel shows "Nothing selected"but something is selected.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
1.Delete all your objects(at least all not mesh objects)
2.Create 2(Or more) Mesh Objects(unless you have it already).
3.Make sure that in your objects no vertex, edge or face is selected
4.Select any vertex, edge or Face of one(or more, but not all) of your objects.
5.Go back to Object Mode
6.Select all your objects and make sure that the one/those with the selected vertex, edge or face is/are NOT the active one.
7.Go to editmode
8.look under the N-penel>Item>Transform
Additional things about the bug
If you also select some vertex, edges or faces in the object that will be the active one (step 6.) and deselect some in the not active objects(s)(after step 7) it will have no influence on the Median coordinates.
If you select something after step 7. with a normal click in a not active object it will influence the Median coordinates but if you do it with a circle select not.
Thanks for reading this.

In the screenshot vertex selected is in the cube, object selected in the outliner is Sphere. And transform panel says that nothing is selected.

This is not bug, but rather limitation of current design. Reason you get nothing is selected is that selected vertex does not belong to active object.

There is possibility that each panel would have to go over properties of thousands of selected objects. This would obviously have negative impact on performance. So instead we look only at active object.
