Short description of error
Bones toes_parent.L and toes_parent.R can be omitted.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Activate rigify and create a Bird meta rig.
It has two small bones in the feet area toes_parent.L and toes_parent.R. They have no rig type. If you delete them and parent the fingers directly to the toe bone of the Paw rig type the generated rig seems to behave exactly the same (unless I am missing something). It's a very small and almost insignificant detail but still I thought it might be worth reporting.

Event Timeline

if i remember correctly this was due to a 2.7 rigify limitation in limbs child parenting. It was probably removed by some of @Alexander Gavrilov (angavrilov) clever limb rewrite.
