System Information
Operating system: Microsoft Window 10 pro

when i download blender and open it it gives me EXCEPTION ACESS VIOLATION with a black background screen
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

The error message suggests a crash in the graphics driver of your dedicated AMD GPU. Please try download and install the most recent graphics driver from AMDs website .
If this doesn't resolve the issue please download Blender 2.92 for testing. Extract the archive, open the Blender's folder and double click on the
blender_debug_gpu.cmd
. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to make Blender crash again. Once it crashes the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop. Please also upload the crash log located inC:\Users\tefer\AppData\Local\Temp\blender.crash.txt
(or simply type%TEMP%
into the path bar of the Windows Explorer).ok i will tell you the results after i try that
this poped up
.........why does it say a graphic card that support OpenGL 3.3 or higher even though i already have it
Please follow the instructions provided above and upload the log files. The system information will likely indicate what's wrong in this case. Based on the original error message the issue doesn't occur with your integrated Intel GPU, but your dedicated AMD GPU.
blender_debug_output.txt
hello i gave you the debug output so how do you fix it?
;when i exctract it it only comes up with the blender debug output can you please help me
@DOGE74902 If Blender doesn't get to the point where it outputs system information, please add in a comment what your AMD GPU is. Have you tried updating the driver for it?
Added subscriber: @mano-wii
In this image you are seeing details of your integrated GPU (Intel).
However the image in the report's description shows that blender is trying to run with AMD's GPU.
Please make sure that you update the GPU drivers that Blender is using.
Usually the dedicated GPU is faster and that is why some programs use it.
But you can choose which GPU blender should use.
Here some websites explaining how to choose a specific GPU for each program:
https://www.windowslatest.com/2020/08/12/windows-10-getting-improved-graphics-settings-experience/
https://support.serato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202305784-Changing-graphics-card-settings-to-use-your-dedicated-GPU-on-a-Windows-computer-
my driver is fully updated
@DOGE74902 Since you screenshots don't show any driver versions, are you certain that you have the latest installed for the AMD GPU? You can download the most recent one for the AMD Radeon HD 8570 here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-hd/amd-radeon-hd-8000-series-oem/amd-radeon-hd-8570
i downloaded the window 10 -64bit version 2020 edition but it still has an error
@DOGE74902 Is it the same error? Have you tried to switch which GPU is used for Blender as Germano suggested (see #78799 for instructions)?
it is not the same error as the last one i posted, it is a new error
can you please help!!!! my blender has been closed for a long time i really wannna play with it again!
@DOGE74902 Please repeat the steps from my first comment, as you appear to have a different issue now. Also, just a reminder, the bug tracker is for bug reports in Blender. We generally don't provide user support, that includes OS misconfigurations, broken drivers etc.
i downloaded the amd it still error and i dont know how to archieve it
@DOGE74902 as I said, please repeat the steps from by first comment as you seem to be getting a different error now:
@DOGE74902 You have to download the .zip file from here and extract it. Your screenshot shows you trying to extract a .lnk from your desktop. This is a shortcut/link file of an existing Blender installation and not something you can extract.
blender_debug_output.txt this is what i got by extracting it and doing what you said
@DOGE74902 Have you extracted the archive before trying to run it? The error message implies that it tries to run Blender from a temporary directory, perhaps because you tried to start it from within WinRar without extracting it before.
In the Windows Explorer, right-click on the file and select Extract All. Once it's extracted, open the directory it has been extracted too and try to start the
blender.exe
.i made opened it and made it crash on blender.exe than opened blender_debug_output inside winRar
and i dont see where it says extract all
@DOGE74902 There is not step where you should run anything from inside WinRAR. Please follow the steps below exactly:
blender_debug_gpu.cmd
in the extracted folder. Please keep in mind that we usually don't provide user support beyond bugs in Blender. Our time is limited and we have many reports to go through.
blender_debug_output.txt
hello?
Changed status from 'Needs User Info' to: 'Needs Triage'
what does needs traige means do i need to do something
@DOGE74902 It means we will look into it, but currently haven't been able to confirm an issue in Blender.
. . . . . . . .
@DOGE74902 Are you using two monitors?
i am using only 1
in summary when i download blender and open it it says it needs to support openGL 3.3 or higher than when i fix it by copying and pasting an openGL to the blender file using a youtube a tutorial another error comes back saying the application was unable to start correctly(0xc0000022) click ok to close the application
but than when i unistall the blender it goes back to the old error of saying OpenGl 3.3 or higher
if you want to i can share my screen and you can tell me what to do with your voice to fix it or find more information
@DOGE74902 Remove the OpenGL DLL and try to manually select the GPU you want to use for starting Blender as described in #78799. Try both the Intel HD and AMD GPU and check if either of them allows you to run Blender.
The error message implies that the driver update for the GPU that is used by default didn't work properly.
i will do that also i can start up zbrush mini which is a 3d software app the same as blender
