Transform tool pane to modify vertices of all selected meshes while in Edit Mode #82845

In the following example, there are multiple objects, all selected, and Edit Mode has been opened on all of them. Therefore, in the 3D Viewport, I can edit the geometry of all those objects at the same time.

But unlike tools in the 3D Viewport, the Transform tool pane will only shows and operate on the active selected object's vertices (the one in bright orange in the Outliner).
In the following example, I try to set the median Z of all the selected vertices. But only the active selected object is changed.

By using this Transform tool, we would expect it to operate on vertices of all selected objects, not only the active selected object.
And unlike the ALT key modifier that can be used in Object Mode, that allow to propagate a change in the Transform pane on each of the selected objects, in Edition Mode, there is no alternative.

In situations as the one exposed here, it would save a lot of time and sanity for the poor artist that have dozen, if not hundred, of objects for whose he needs to align/move/whatever do on vertices of separate objects.

Thanks for considering propagating the edition to all selected objects.

Alright, thanks, I didn't knew about rightclickselect.

Although couldn't this task be seen as an issue, a bug ?
I would expect the Transform tool to update all selected objects ? Don't you think ?
