Join Areas #82946

Hello guys... I am a Modeler , not a developer. I an not even sure if i should write this here

Blender Version
2.90.1

my problem is the joining areas.... every time I am trying to join two areas I end up splitting more and more and more. It΄s not clear what you have to do. I would prefer if when you go to the corner the arrow becomes a cross when you want to split, and if you want to join you can press shift, or something else and becomes arrow to join. it is really frustrating every time this happens....

come on... you think I didn΄t check documentation before I wrote here???? The problem is that you have left very small space to that area to change between which function you gonna do, split or join, so when you work fast, you end up messing up....

If you look back at that page on splitting and joining... https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/interface/window_system/areas.html

The most important part is to start with your mouse in the middle of the yellow circle shown. Most people starting out will try doing so with their mouse right in the intersection and that will make it difficult.

If you continue to have difficulties, even if starting where that document indicates, consider instead starting the process by right-clicking on any edge between editors. The resulting popup menu includes options for splitting and joining there too.
