Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 457.30

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.90.0, branch: master, commit date: 2020-08-31 11:26, hash: blender/blender@0330d1af29
Worked: never, I think

Addon Information
Name: Rigify (0, 6, 1)
Author: Nathan Vegdahl, Lucio Rossi, Ivan Cappiello, Alexander Gavrilov

Short description of error
basic.super_copy has a Rig Type option to create a circle widget or a box widget. (The "Widget" checkbox)

It works fine on the first generation of the rig but after that, the Widget does not update.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • create a rig with super_copy in it
  • Keep the Widget checkbox checked and generate the rig (a circle widget will be created for the super_copy)
  • go back to the metarig and uncheck the Widget option
  • generate again

You'd expect the cirlce Widget to change into a boxy widget but it does not. The Force Widget Update option under Advanced Option does not fix it either.

As an aside, the Widget checkbox is not very intuitive. It sounds like you're choosing whether to create a widget or not. A dropdown that lets you choose between Circle or Box would make more sense.
