Some 2.92 alpha UI strings can't be translated
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Hi there!

There are several strings in 2.92 alpha (and in previous versions as well) that currently can't be translated.
After finishing 100% translation of Spanish PO file, the following is a list of the untranslatable strings I could find.
I've searched primarily for the most obvious options in Properties context, as well as in Object mode Viewport menus and Timeline Editor menus.

If there's interest I could do a more thorough search in other parts of the program UI as well,
but I think, at least, these strings that follow should be made translatable as soon as possible, to help give non-English spoken users a better quality experience in their language in 2.92.

Thanks!!

Fixed two main issues related to those.

units I would consider a known issue for now, adding them properly won't be exactly trivial.

Color management items I think those are presets, which are not handled currently.

In the future, please use T43295 (would be nice to get a full check on reports there to see whose are still valid btw).

Thanks for reviewing it, @Bastien Montagne (mont29)
I saw that other task, before creating this one, but I thought as these strings were not really disambiguation requests, would better fit in their own task, facing 2.92 release.

I hope they could be taken care of before 2.92 anyways...
If you want to I can also review T43295 strings to see which of them are still valid, and also add a few new ones I've detected lately. 👍

Thanks!
