System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 430.86

Blender Version
Broken: version:

  • 3.0
  • 2.93
  • 2.92.0
  • 2.91.0, branch: master, commit date: 2020-11-25 08:34, hash: 0f45cab862
  • 2.90.1
    Worked: 2.83 LTS

Short description of error
When stereoscopy and soft shadow are enabled and rendered in Eevee,
resulting image for right camera has strange shadow.
The image looks like normal and soft shadow mixed.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Render the attached file and look at the image for the right eye:
eevee_stereo_soft_shadow.blend

From the default startup file:

  • Enable stereoscopy and soft shadow in Eevee rendering mode.
  • Set simple object and plane to cast shadow.
  • Set light source to be a Sun and adjust its strength and angle properly.
  • Then, render the scene.

I attached anaglyph and individual images here.

Shadow in render image for right camera looks strange.
It looks like that normal shadow and soft shadow are mixed.

If 3Dview is set render mode, the shadow looks good.
It only happens in rendering only.

Another example from #89712:

Short description of error
When rendering stereo 3d images in Eevee, the right eye renders with only a few samples, while the left renders as expected.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Create a new scene that has a discernable amount of noise. Set up the output to use stereoscopy, and use enough samples to reduce the noise. Examine the two render results for differences in noise.eeveestereobug.blend

Still broken. Also bugged with filter size (anti-aliasing), the right camera render is wrong.

thx checking @Jake-Faulkner, this indeed is fixed now.

Will close (but of course feel free @popqjp to comment again if issues persist, we can always reopen in such case)
