Worked: 2.82a from downloaded binaries from

Short description of error
My whole desktop environment freezes even though I can still move my cursor without being able to click anywhere. I can open a new tty. Killing the blender process is not enough.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Manipulating primitive objects in the viewport in Solid View with the default is enough to cause the freeze. Once I was just browsing the Blenderkit library with the default setup.
My Fedora system is new with the latest updates. I had the same issue with Manjaro while thinking it was a graphic driver issue. I have not tried to use Windows on my computer. No trace in any log (system's and blender's). Tried to use different desktop environments (Plasma, XFCE, I3). I have no clue and I'm stuck with 2.82 as for now.

If the freeze extends to the desktop environment then this is most likely not a bug (just) in Blender. Have you tested if upgrading or downgrading the Mesa version changes anything?
