Boolean doesn't work
Closed, ArchivedPublic

System Information
Operating system: Windows-8.1-6.3.9600-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce 820A/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.4.0

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.91.0, branch: master, commit date: 2020-11-25 08:34, hash: rB0f45cab862b8
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Exact Boolean doesn't work

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I built a simple mesh called "Wall" and apply boolean with "Cube".
Since it is "exact" boolean, I expect the cube would cut the bottom part of "Wall" despite cube is overlapped with wall.
However, the exact boolean cannot work.

Event Timeline

This must be the result of some minor inaccuracies during modeling process because when I force the alignment of the two faces the boolean works.

@Howard Trickey (howardt), what do you think? Deserves an investigation?
Perhaps the values of the coordinates shown in the interface are somewhat misleading.

These floating-point precision issues are known. Closing as this is more a limitation as of right now.
