System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 960/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 460.79

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.90.0, branch: master, commit date: 2020-08-31 11:26, hash: blender/blender@0330d1af29
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Addon Information
Name: Persistence of Vision (0, 1, 0)
Author: Campbell Barton, Maurice Raybaud, Leonid Desyatkov, Bastien Montagne, Constantin Rahn, Silvio Falcinelli

Short description of error
[Cannot find the Persistance of Vision option in the import menu]

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[I have added the render-Persistance of Vision (POV) in the Add-ons, restarted Blender and looked for a POV link in the import file option, even in the Add menu in the 3D screen, but could not find anything related to POV. I have been able to 'cheat' it by exporting my object in .wrl (from KrystalShaper software), which I can see in the import menu. But I would like to have the POV import directly if possible.]List of imports missing POV.PNG

[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

Seems things are just broken there. The manual

https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/addons/render/povray.html

says something about a POV-Ray importer too, guess the info there is just wrong, or outdated.
Hence, it IS NOT just a request. Better could have said its being worked on, or ToDo, which in fact means its not likely being worked on, or its abandoned.
Who knows...

Thank you for the response!

I hope that one of the people involved in that project would be able to get this feature in Blender one day.

I will keep using the two-step softwares saves to get the POV objects into Blender, it seems to work. : )
