Operating system: win 10
Graphics card: nvidia rtx 2080 ti

Blender Version
Broken: 2.92.0, 30dd31a7b3

Short description of error
When drag dropping a .blend file into blender, blender crashes. It doesn't open the choice popup (open,link,append), but crashes instantly. This happened to me serveral times in past weeks. Usually another file was already open. On other tries, same file doesn't crash, and also can be open exactly same way. I'm quite aware this is useless info since it's very hard to reproduce also on my machine, but I had blender running on --debug-all and appended crash log also with the console output, so it can possibly be linked to other bug reports.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
open some .blend file, try to drag drop the sample file into blender.

test blend file
grass drag drop.blend
blender crash dump:
BKgrass.crash.txt

Output from console --debug-all
log_debug_all.txt

Cannot reproduce here.

Was this working in previous versions? https://download.blender.org/release/
Is this happening only when dragging from a specific location? (special drive, dropbox etc)?

I don't think this happened in previous versions. Dragging simply from windows explorer - usually downloaded .blends, no special folders.

Are these files important for the crash ? Please attach them if possible.

Can't reproduce anymore in 2.93 beta, thus closing the report.
