Blender Slow To Open And UI Glitchy #85802

System Information
Operating system: macOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra)
Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

Blender Version
Broken: 2.91.2
Worked: 2.80

Short description of error
I just downloaded and installed Blender 2.9 for the first time and when I open it, it takes 1-2 minutes to open up and after that, the UI is glitchy (there are these weird diagonal shadows across all of the menus and options in the UI). I tried using both Blender 2.90.1 (one of the first releases of Blender 2.9, I think) and the latest stable release at this moment in time (2.91.2), and I get the same results.

However, if I use Blender 2.79b or 2.80, Blender opens up normally (in just 2-3 seconds) and the UI is fine.

Here's a screenshot of the broken UI:

You probably have a Sandy Bridge Intel CPU and the Intel HD Graphics 3000 supports only OpenGL 3.1 whereas the minimum OpenGL version required for recent versions is 3.3.

Unfortunately, your GPU is below the minimum requirements for running Blender. For integrated Intel GPUs we require processors with Haswell architecture or a newer generation and current graphics driver. Furthermore the GPU needs to have 1 GB of memory. We do not provide support for issues caused by unsupported hardware or drivers.

Could anybody tell me the latest version of Blender my hardware will support?

I might work in one of the 2.8x releases, with 2.83 LTS being the latest, but officially the hardware is unsupported since 2.80 .
