Cannot reproduce here.

Are you sure you actually switched to the appended scene after appending?

Hi Philipp, thanks for stopping by. I actually had no idea you even had to switch to the new scene. In My blender version all the objects in the appended scene also gets added to my currently active scene as well as that I get a copy of the objects into a new scene that you have to switch to (like you suggested).

I suppose this task can be closed, but it does seem like a little odd behaviour that I would get my objects appended both into my current scene AND that it creates a new one (where the eevee render properties does get transferred to).

Since it can cause a little confusion (like it did here in my case as I thought the whole scene was supposed to get appended into my currently active one) maybe that is something which deserves some developer attention?

Think this is only the case if the objects in the source scene are directly under the Scene Collection (as soon as they are in their own "sub"collection this does not happen here)?
(this has in fact confused me as well, will try to check why this is the case...)

In any case, this is subject for another bug report (I will leave a message here if I make a new report on that matter -- but also feel free to report this yourself).
I will close this one now (since it seems to be resolved).

Made a report about this here: #85947 (objects from appended scenes are added to current scene as well (if they are directly under the Scene Collection in the source file))

Fantastic. I can see Bastien made a fix for it already 👍
