System Information
Operating system: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
Graphics card: Radeon Pro 560 4 GB

Blender Version
Broken: 2.92.0, 02948a2cab, master, 2021-02-24 16:25

Also tried with 2.93.0 and the erroneous behavior is still there.

Steps to reproduce the error:

  1. Open the attached .blend file.
  2. Select the (only) GPencil object and go into edit mode.
  3. Enable proportional editing.
  4. Grab one point of the grease pencil curve and start moving it.
  5. Observe the influence radius marker being drawn at the object's origin point, instead of the current selection's median point.

I can confirm this on the latest master. Notice though that this only happens with the pivot point set to "Active Element". Every other pivot mode works correctly.

Grease Pencil hasn't a Active Element, so it's impossible to do the proportional editing. I think we must set this report a know limitation.

Note: I have plans to add the active element. I have already the active stroke code ready.

This is not just a Grease Pencil issue. When the Transform Pivot Point for a mesh is 3D-Cursor or Active Element, the influence radius is misplaced too.

The radius center will be on the 3D-Cursor or Active Element, when the influence is not actually calculated from that position.

@lichtwerk on the off chance that I'm annoying you in a different issue anyway: Can you please re-evaluate this issue about the misplaced influence radius? Or should I open a new report because my comment is about a bug in modeling, not Grease Pencil?

Here is a video.

This (the active element issue) is working fine in GPv3, so chances are low this will still get fixed for GPv2

would be good to open a separate report for this, yes
