Trouble with Fluid Simulation
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 920MX/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 466.11

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.93.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-04-13 07:49, hash: rB30ee57be60b7
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
I set up a fluid simulation with an emitter, domain, and drain. However, after baking the simulation, the domain box is still visible and, if you use x-ray view, you can only see a small amount of blue particles being emitted.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I was following a tutorial for making an animated creek (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbHqIDLa39I&t=2012s). After setting up and baking the simulation, I encountered the problems described in the "short description of error". I thought that the problem was due to the fact that I was following a tutorial for an outdated version of Blender, so I tried to troubleshoot it with this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3mhJXuveFo&t=127s), but it did not solve my problem.
I have attached a blend file containing the problem, as well as a screenshot of what I saw.

Event Timeline

Baking the simulation does not change the visibility of the domain. You can change the visibility (viewport or render) in the Object Properties.

I couldn't find any issue in the file you provided. If you need help using Blender check out our community websites.
Feel free to open another report if you have any other issues. Closing.
