Short description of error
Using the Convert to Grease Pencil command on a curve, mesh, or text object overwrites the object name with GPencil

Steps to reproduce:

#Open up default blend file
# Select default cube
# Object>Convert>Grease Pencil
# Observe the name change in the outliner
# Have some coffee and ponder how to fix it

I can confirm this issue on the latest 3.0.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-05-05 08:09, hash: rB515afeb11b33.
Seems like this is inconsistent with other parts of Blender.

@Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) @Antonio Vazquez (antoniov) If this ends up being a straightforward fix, I would vote for this to go into 2.93.

Since apparently gpencil does this differently then the rest (doesnt reuse base/object) and only in the end removes/deletes the source objects it might be a bit fiddly to get the exact same name, but I'll see what I can do in a bit.

Lacking the time to look into this, stepping down to not block others.
