There is a new OpenImageDenoise release, which we'd like to upgrade to for the Blender 3.0 release.

It was a little easier to track all dep changes in a single verison wide ticket, we can keep this ticket for any additional integration that we want/need to do, but i'd prefer if we did the update process of the lib in T88438

Ok, sure, will keep this one focused on the Cycles code changes then.

Open Image Denoise 1.4.1 is out, which fixes a crash when in-place denoising images with some unusual resolutions. I highly recommend upgrading to this version. It just fixes this bug and an ISPC detection issue on Apple Silicon (you may not need a patch anymore). There are no other changes, so it should be a straightforward upgrade.
