Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.93.0, branch: master, commit date: 2021-06-02 11:21, hash: 84da05a8b8
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

*Short description of error
Blender crashes while opening older files , it happens due to the userpref blend file in confing folder in c drive.But if you don,t load 2.92 settings while first time opening 2.93 , it works just fine.But if you do load the previous settings you can load fectory settings before opening older files ,it does solves the problem but you have to do it every time you open blender, but if you delete the userpref blend file from confing folder in c drive then the problem is solved forever.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Copy and paste the attached .blend file in C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.93\config
then open blender 2.93 and try to open an older file. (AppData filder is usually hidden so check hidden items box first)

There are a bunch of enabled add-ons in your prefs file. Like Radeon Pro-Render. Maybe an add-on loads at startup and crashes your system?

I deleted the add-ons from scripts and tried again but it didn't worked. When I opened and saved the userpref blend file and tried to open an older file it worked🤔.Then I deleted the saved file and copied the previous userpref file and it didn't work 🥴 .But now its working😬with the same file.

Can I close the task then?
If number of add-ons are enabled just load factory settings and try again.

It was still crashing. But not more often.Loading factory settings worked but I had to do it everytime I open Blender so, I deleted the user pref file and now its working fine along with the addons.But some addons couldn't be enabled like, Radeon ProRenderer & LuxCore render engine.

It was still crashing. Probably because you didn’t save the factory settings state as the new startup file. You can do that from the same menu.
