UV poligons are breaking #89903

System Information
Windows 10Pro 64:
Graphics card Nvidia 1080Ti:

Blender Version
Broken: (2.93.1 LTS official release, but also broken in all versions 2.83, 2.90, 2.91, 2.92. )
Worked: (not sure)

Short description of error
UV polygons are breaking into separate islands after applying of the Subdivision Surface modifier.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Create Suzanne
  2. Check the default uvs in the UV Editor
  3. Add Subdivision surface modifier with 2 iterations
  4. Apply the SubD modifier
  5. With Suzanne selected go into Edit mode and select all faces with "a"
  6. Over in UV Editor go to UV=>Seams from Islands ( As this is the only way to visualize the separate UV island borders that I know of... maybe it is a good idea to add a viewport overlay for this :) )
  7. Check how the red UV seams are all over the mesh, instead only to the places where UV islands are separated.
