System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit, Linux Manjaro 21.1.2 Cinnamon
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 1080, 1070

Blender Version
Broken: 3.0 release version
Worked: never, as there were no asset browser implemented in previous versions

Short description of error
Hi! I've switched to 3.0 today and was migrating my kitbash assets to the new Asset Browser and immediately encountered a bug when your viewport crashes and glitches when you have Auto Perspective turned off and Orbit around selection is turned on in the preferences and you use Asset Browser. I always model in orthographic mode, I believe this to be the best practice for modeling and it's very easy to replicate the bug and crash your file while you're working on it in orthographic view.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Go to Preferences and make sure to tick Auto Perspective turned off and Orbit around selection is turned on, save settings
    image.png
  2. Create a new scene with default objects, immediately press A and delete them all. (It's easier to replicate the bug when there's nothing in the scene)
  3. Turn orthographic mode on and position your camera to frontal/side/ views so that you can see the grid.
  4. Roll out asset browser window and start putting assets down into the viewport
  5. Hold MMB and start rotating your viewport view and see wierd things happening.

I'm not sure what is the culprit here, it's either orthographic mode or it's Orbit around selection when nothing is selected in the scene, IDK. I get this viewport bug randomly sometimes when I work in 3.0 in orthographic mode when nothing is selected, but with Asset Browser I could replicate it all the time whenever I've tried.

Here's a video reproduction of the said bug with comments:

P.S. Also, you should implement mkv video format preview in developer.blender.org mp4 video format is not FOSS XD.

Probably related to #93388 in some way since the object is being dropped at the wrong distance when in orthographic mode -- the object in the video was dropped at 1.55 million meters away from the origin which then leads to the viewport issues when trying to view it.

Most likely those are related, Orthographic mode is acting very weird in 3.0, even without using asset browser, just rotating viewport in the scene where nothing is selected and you're in front/side view can cause visual bugs, I am yet to report it.
