System Information
Operating system:
Linux 5.4.173-1-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 20 09:45:52 UTC 2022 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Graphics card: Intel UHD
Blender Version
Broken: 3.0.0
Short description of error
WindowCrash0001-0129.mkv
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
I thought I originally had a
blender.crash.text
, but on subsequent reproductions the file's always been empty.Added subscriber: @WCN

Hi, thanks for the report. Can not reproduce on current master (neither crashes on 3.0.0).
Did you get any error in console after the crash?
Perhaps issue is related- #94209 (Viewport artifacts, slowdown, and crashing on Arch Linux w/ Intel graphics after driver update)

Also click on Help > Save System Info and upload saved file and check if this happens with latest alpha from https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/

It doesn't really seems to be related to the graphics driver. I can reproduce it on Linux with NVidia drivers, and the crash is in the file browser:
P2772: (An Untitled Masterwork)
I do not believe it's related to the other graphics driver issue. I'm using an unaffected version of Mesa, and haven't observed any of the other of issues from #94209.
Reproduced using
blender-3.2.0-alpha+master.95005bbe02cf-linux.x86_64-release
. "File Browser" has to be set to "Maximized Area" instead of "New Window", though.Nothing on console, and still nothing in
blender.crash.txt
either.system-info.txt

Thanks for checking, will confirm then. Seems it's issue on Linux and perhaps Mac

.(in master that is, these commits are not in 3.2 -- already talking to the devs if we want this in the 3.2 release as well...)
Will close as resolved, feel free to comment again if issues persist in 3.3
